This course is open to both the general public and to students of the School of Sound.  

Number of Credit Hours for School of Sound Students

This course is worth 8 hours of electives towards School of Sound elective hours.   If you take this course and then decide to join School of Sound at a later date, you will be credited these hours. 

Course Description

In this foundational Reiki level 1 class, you will be introduced to the Usui method of Reiki, a powerful energy healing practice that promotes balance and well-being.  Through hands-on learning and guided instruction, you will explore the history and principles of Reiki, learn the basic hand positions and receive your first attunement, allowing you to channel Reiki energy. This class is for beginners who want to use Reiki for self-healing and to support others on their healing journeys. This class is open to ALL! You do not have to have any prior experience to join.

If you are a student enrolled in School of Sound, this course counts towards your electives. 

Course Objectives

*Learn the history, philosophy, and foundational principles of the Usui method of Reiki. 

*Receive a Level 1 attunement, opening your ability to channel Reiki energy. 

*Master the basic hand positions for self-treatment and offering Reiki to others. 

*Develop confidence in using Reiki to support balance, relaxation and healing in  yourself and others.

Wyatt Mylius is a passionate sound healing practitioner and teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students at Rooted in Sound. With certifications in Peter Hess Sound Therapy, Gong Resonance Therapy, Nada Yoga, and Reiki, Wyatt's approach combines modern scientific principles with ancient healing traditions.
